thanks so much. yea, we did the color ourselves. fcp and the new magic bullet. nothing too crazy. had to fix one moire shot with a post house.
the chopper was awesome. its a remote control version and we attached a t2i and went crazy. really really fun. no permits. kind of scary. but great

yea, the helicopter stuff was done through a company called hover effect which is based in san francisco. It was funny because there was a commercial crew with a "real" chopper there at the same time shooting on film. And there we were were, no permit indie rebels with an rc chopper. yet it worked fantastically. had to use a bit of the smoothcam filter in fcp. other than that, great.

With Matty, good stuff, man.

How did you do the aerial material? RC?

the girlie is quite easy on the eyes... the aerial shots are even better on the eyes... very very nice man! well done

LOVED it. Could you give us some idea of what was shot on 16mm? Just so we can factor that out for how good our stuff can look? :) Thanks for posting....very inspiring!

This was freaking Fantastic! I was shocked it was on the 7d really...Im assuming the 16mm was for the black and white stuff with all the grain? Great job. You really made these cameras shine.

Do you have a link to the bands website? I enjoyed the music as well and would love to support them. Thanks

Love that the video was built on a story rather than just random camera cuts to a band playing music. Beautiful shots and exposure too.

thanks for all the kind comments guys! really means a lot as I put a ton of work into this one. the 16mm was all the black and white stuff. It was perhaps my favorite stuff to cut-- all the pops and flashes we try to fake digitally are actually there organicaly which is so refreshing.
the band's site is http://thisishalos.com/
the whole album is great

Thanks for answering my question. I didn't want to make any assumptions. Very helpful indeed! :)

great atmosphere and dynamic range you were able to pull from the 7d. Mind telling what settings you used and how you got the blacks from crushing. Great work here.

The aerial footage is really well done, what camera did you fly and do you know what type of RC helicopter they used?

That's one of the best music videos I've seen in a long time. Well none.

thanks ! I pretty much just used bloom's settings-- contrast and sharpness pulled all the way back (one from the back actually) and saturation down one. color tone at zero.

as far as the helicopter stuff, we mounted a t2i to the RC chopper, both owned by Devin at Hover Effect. It's a very similar rig to the one the guy from vegas posted up here last week
