Music video - Jessica Wolff - Can't get you out of my head

Hey, that's some impressive stuff! Great cinematography, locations, and overall production value. Editing and color grading was also nice.

If you had told me that this was shot on a Red One I would have believed you in a heartbeat. It's a testament to what these DSLRs can do in skilled hands. What lenses did you use btw?

Thanks guys! We used some different lenses. The 30mm f1.4 sigma was used quite a lot for the singing. Wideshots on the crane were Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Some singing shots were with the 5d and samyang 85mm f1.4. Some macrowork with the canon 100mm f2.8L lens. Handheld lens on the inside shots was Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. Good lens but the focus wheel is horrible, horrible.

5d was only for some singing shots, everything else was 7d.

I quess that was it.

Great Job, I liked it a lot. In the opening scene when you hold the shot of the ring for so long I knew you would come back to it..... The only critique I have is in certain parts I would have liked for the edit to have been tighter + I really did not like the choice of Color grade for the intro and outro. I think a nice vintage lens would have provided some really great feeling to those opening scenes instead of modern lenses. Something like a Takumar 50mm or Helios 44 would have gave it some Amazing Bokeh... Other than those things I feel the project was great and it made me watch it from beginning till the ending which is something very very hard to do, since I am so judge mental.

You captured the story great and had excellent pacing, also I really really like how you used different lenses & angles. It truly brought up the production value of the projects. The location, actors, fighting scenes , acting pyro work I mean it was all truly great. Would have liked maybe an outside shot or two & maybe some cool POV shots. Overall though a solid 9 out of 10, Excellent Project!!

this is on pro level all the way. Love the canon, and what you were able to accomplish with it.

Yeah, I kinda agree. Especially the beginning part, slightly too slow edit. I did try some faster cuts there but they never really gelled for some reason. Maybe I should've tried some more. Great point about using some vintage lenses for the opening scenes. It would've given it a slightly more dreamy quality.

Nice job man. The intro sequence was shot really well, It could have maybe been a bit shorter. Say trim 10 seconds and it would pull you into the video much faster. What did you use for key and fill lighting the band shots? Looks great. The big boys are probably shitting their pants every time they see a video like this.

You got that rite, the Big Boys are scared when they see an amazing project like this.

This was great, although I think it could have done without the intro and outro. I think it could have stood on its own.

The video itself is awesome! How did you light the performance shots?

The foley on the intro/outro drove me a bit nuts. All the material scuff sounds in the intro were too equally balanced... same sounds all at the same volumes.
The final 'thunk' of the ring landing on the pavement in the outro is totally strange. It should make a much more metallic 'tinnnng' sound as opposed to the metal on wood 'thunk' it makes.

Sorry! We were supposed to get a professional sound guy to do the foley but then I just couldn't wait to find a proper one and I tried to do it myself in Premiere...

We got kinda lucky with the performance shots as we got a lot of nice sunlight in through the windows. So our 1k & 2k lights were totally overshadowed by the huge blast the sun gave us.
