Im just so pleased to see that this film has evolved succesfully from the dvx short seen oh so many moons ago! Will this be getting screened to agents at all at any fests? Hey, Lawrie! We sent it off to Cannes, but we were DENIED, REJECTED, BODYSLAMMED - um, meaning we didn't make the cut. I've sent the film off to the Urbanworld Film Festival, a couple distributors and I'll be sending it off to another couple of fests by the end of the month. We're going to shake as many trees as we can and see what happens. Thanks for the support!

UPDATE: We've sent the film out to another film festival and two distributors and one of the distro companies came back with a deal, although not a very good one, so we'll counter and if they don't like it we'll be moving on.

I started a new job and haven't been able to do anything else with the movie. Hopefully I'll be getting back into the swing of things here pretty quick. Started working on a new trailer and that'll be the first thing I finish. Then I'll start sending more screeners out while re-tweaking audio and some of the visual stuff. Making the movie is hard and fun, but getting it sold is really the hard part.
House of Film did offer us a deal a month or so ago, but it was absolutely terrible.

Finally watched the film this weekend. I enjoyed it. Funny and pretty scary at times. Especially the play dead part. I was surprised at how good the DVD looked on my plasma. DVDs are normally ugly on the big screen, and I always opt for Bluray. Good acting. Funny interactions.

Thanks, Duke. Glad you liked it. Yes, the quality surprised me too. I'm more than pleased with how it came out and that's not even the blu ray version.
Thanks, Martin. Now I'm back in the swing of things. I've been re-tweaking all of the action sequences and I'm getting ready to launch the film as a web series. I'll probably still look at distributors, but in true indie spirit, I'm going to take my product directly to the people and let it sink or swim based on what they think. If it's awesome, it'll work, if it's not, then I need to go back to the drawing board anyway.

Honestly, you may do better. I've heard people making upwards of $100K just selling to friends, family and anyone else they come in contact with. I think it's something about a person offering you a product directly than simply picking up a product off the shelf. So good luck!

So, I've still been tweaking and I've almost got the first section (10 minutes) of Bad To The Jones re-edited to death. I've got two more things that I want to do and it's ready to go. Hopefully I'll be able to launch it within the next couple of weeks. I want to add the titles to the beginning of the film and tweak an action shot or two. Theoretically I could be done with that over the weekend. Can't wait for y'all to see this!
