T2i Mixing T3i and T3 footage

So, I have a T3i (well should be here any day now). I am getting "geared" up for a documentary shoot. I want at least 2 camera angles (possibly 3). Rather than buy another T3i, I am wondering if you guys could tell me about using a T3 (not no "i") as a 2nd camera. Now I realize the downfall is that it's 720p and not 1080 and I also realize I'll be at 30fps instead of 24, but I don't mind to take the hit on those two things... Is that the only hits I will take? Will the T3 footage match up correctly with the T3i footage as long as the T3i is at 720p 30fps?

Lesser image sensor in the T3, stuck with 720p. Aliasing and moire get worse with the T2i/T3i in 720p... I'm sure the T3 is as bad if not worse.
 
well amazon was running a deal, so i went for it... i'll let you guys know how things work out... my expectations are pretty low i must say... ha ha
