Missing/Deleted MXF files and P2 Log Pro

Hi all,

Editing a HD project shot using the HGVX200 and A FS-100 at 24pA with FCP 6.

Have some missing (possibly deleted) mxf files. For example have just the Video folder with the appropriate mxfs file, but missing the rest of the folders/files in the Contents directory. Therefore cannot transfer into FCP.

My question is, will P2 Log Pro restore the directory and allow me to import into FCP as Quicktime files?

Any feedback or alternative suggestions appreciated.

Tanya

In practice, yes but if you only have the video MXF's then you won't get audio back. MXFs are stored as seperate audio and video files. For this reason it's critical to properly manage and backup every file generated during filming.

Hi,

I currently have exactly the same problem as Tanya had.
I don't need audio since it's music video Rushes and all sound will be included during Post.

Can someone (Tanya) confirm your issue was solved by P2 Log Pro ?

Any feedbak would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
