"Miss Laid" - A ZazaCast Films Presentation

Not much to update...I'm haveing a hell of a time finding a certain location that is key to the film. If I can't find just the right spot, I'm going to have to rewrite it out of the script. I have no intentions/illusions of even placing on this fest, that said, I will be making this film, but I want to do it right, so it might not make it in time.
 
I hear ya. Mark Harris is also having a hell of a time on his location, and I know I had to find an alternate coffee shop as well as shhot in a much smaller house than I ha envisioned, so compromises have to be made on occasion. at least you're still determined to make the film and whether it makes it into the fest or not is irrelevant: you're still making it and making it as perfect as you can.
 
Thanks for the encourgement...it's needed on this one! I really want to make it into this one (fest).

I think you'll be fine, there's already a hugh crowd entering...it will be tough to standout (for me at least). This one is looking like I have to push it out a bit. I'm hoping May/June for the release at this point.
 
I feel your pain ZaZa. I might not make it in time for this fest either. I'm still looking forward to seeing your finished film.
 
I too am having problems...but I hope you do get to make the film....you too Champloo...even if it's late for the fest. Good luck.
 
Well, it looks like this one won't be finished in time for the fest. I'm sure you'll all understand why I really want to take my time with it (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

This one needs some tender lovin' care...and many...many rehearsals...and multiple takes to get it just right, as you can see from the storyboard below.

Yeah... my lead has to leave town to compete in a naked bicycle race...go figure? I'm thinking of going along just to get some good footage & offer my support.:huh:

...and who's the wiseguy knocking down all the thread ratings? Don't you have something better to do? Cut the crap!
