Went to a pawnshop again looking for vintage manual focus lenses for my Canon 60D and found two lenses. Minolta Elikar 135mm 1:2.8 zoom lens and a Minolta 28mm 1:2.8. Selling for $30 each. Any possible problems using an adapter?
There are EOS adapter rings for Minolta lenses, but:
As with older Canon FD lenses, the Minolta lenses require an adapter with a glass element. They are too deep of a mount to fit into the EOS body. This extra element and the added distance of the lens to the sensor result in noticeable loss of light and loss of infinity focus.
C2V, you're the man!!! I've read those good explanations from other photography sites.... I was just waiting for you to chime in and hear from a "horse' mouth". You know you lenses dude!
