Micro Four Thirds Prosumer Camcorder

The announced AF-AF100 has been developed by the Panasonis Broadcasting department. As it is destinated for video profesionals, the price will be very high for us, the video consummers.

GH1 videos are impressive for us, but GH1 body is not a body designed for video recording, the ergonomy is for Shuting Photos. We need a GH with the ergonomy for Video recording.

TM700 is very good for video, but is a compact very small camcorder. We need a camcorder with Interchangeable Lens?

Does Panasonic have any plans for micro four thirds in the consumer camcorder market?

When will we have the first micro four thirds camcorder body?

Panasonic listen to video consumers, We want the first micro four thirds camcorder video consumer! I would pay 2.5 or 3 kUS$ for it!

BTW..the AF100 is what you're speaking of, and it's what you wish for. But not at your price point.

Sorry about my poor spelling, I speak only a little of english.
And also sorry because I used 'we' instead of 'I'. I think that many people is thinking the same I wrote.

I beleive AVC100 is the first profesional micro four thirds camcorder, but not the first consumer micro four thisrds camcorder,

For me, a profesional is a person who lives from the video. I am not a profesional, I am a video consumer, because video is one of my hobbies, and I enjoy a lot with it.

I am asking for a GH camcorder, and I think that many people is interested on it.

yikes. These AF100 discussions are bordering religious/political debates. I'm exaggerating but I'm definitely detecting more elitism, defensiveness, intolerance, and kind of just plain rudeness in these talks. There's no need.
 
I don't think so.. I think Skinny just didn't know the OP was a non-English speaking user. Relax....

It sure would help if folks would update their user info to at least include country of origin.

I think it would help to not be presumptuous. He straight up called that dude drunk and insulted his English, and you're telling me to relax? But, okay.
 
well atleat this guy distinguishes pro and consumer well.

others just want it cheap and with everything on it

I'm not sure if I understand the thinking behind this statement. How many Americans do we have living here that speak broken English? The answer is many of them. Him labeling his/her country of origin might (or might not) help but rude is rude in any language.

But if it was a joke…then smiley’s can do wonders on these here boards. :laugh:

The new cam is NOT a replacement for the GH1... Hopefully we'll see a GH2 announcement soon. I wouldn't expect it to cost $2000.. I'm betting it'll list for around $1800 and street at around $1600 But ya never know.

Have you used the GH1 at all? I really have zero problems with it's ergonomics for video, the viewfinder is working in video mode and is very good for on-the-fly operating and focusing.

Okay... Here's the deal... The OP wasn't too off with spelling grammar on this... an English board. Country of origin wouldn't help if he were in an English speaking country but he were not English speaking.. True... But, if he were not in an English speaking country it would be easier to put two and two together when you see slight misspellings and grammatical errors.

That's all I was saying... Tru also the smileys help! What may seem like an obvious joke to you might not to someone else reading the post.

Speaking of obvious jokes, don't you find it funny at all that Skinny was like "Hey drunk guy, learn to spell!" and the OP responds "English is not my first language."

I mean, that's way funnier than if the OP actually was just an native english-speaking drunk.
