C100: mattebox help?

so I have a c100 set up pictured here
everything sets up nice but the mattedbox (from indisystems which I think is closed down now?) doesnt align. In a perfect world it would, I have all the baseplates and all that junk centered and everything. what Im thinking is the c100 is offset and not the mattebox. Is there a way to correct this? The lens has about 1/2"-1" of room on the right and the rest of it on the left. The mattebox has the ability to move up and down just wish it was possible to go the other way too as I like the mattebox

is there a such thing as offset sliding rail blocks? Any tips would be awesome, hell any links to products would be best.

cheers!

I had an indie focus pro follow focus. I was going to resale it but it was so horrible that I couldn't put another user through the grief, so I trashed it. I wonder if their matte box is the same.

the mattebox is pretty solid, it does what it needs too. The follow focus....I agree with haha

It could just be the product of cheap accessories. My Zacuto rail supports on my "big cameras" slide up/down and left/right to get the rails in the proper alignment for your lens position. My Redrock cage on my C300 doesn't allow adjustment of the rails, but i have no issues with my Arri MB lining up.

But even if it's not 'dead nuts center', it shouldn't really effect anything unless you're shooting with a really wide lens.

I've started using collapsible rubber lens hoods with my matte box... fastest way to seal 'em off. I have a set of knickers, but they're a huge PITA on some lenses, especially stubby primes. Really pleased with the hoods, they're cheap, and if you get any oddball setups going where the MB gets in the way, you still have an effective hood.

My Manfrotto QR stuff places everything a few mm off center, no real issues at all with that though.
