Matt Sconce- Stricken

Its so awesome... I saw a shot of some people on set playing cards... on Smuggler's Tony (the lead) was always hanging with the craft service girls (my sister and her friend) playing cards... and our sound guy (Matt) was playing with them as well... we'd always have to be like, ok, we're ready... hey, we always knew where to find them Haha

It is nice when the cast and crew can entertain themselves as I struggle to set the lighting up for the next shot. They were awesome!

I am now over halfway done with the sound sweetening. I guess after I add the ambient noise, it is on to Foley. After that, we should be ready for the score and then onto the DVD creation. Anyone out there a genius with Encore? I really want an awesome menu, but am a newb at it. Any awesome tutorials for making awesome menus?

lol, "screenies"
as if we didn'y have enough jargon around here for stuff from a film ...
GRABS
FOOTY
BTS
& now SCREENIES
guess for us it's like teh eskimos having a bazillion words for snow, lol.

Update: Leo has made the "theme" for Stricken. He will be sending it to me soon. He has spotted the movie, so he can compose the score as well. I have finished sweetening the dialogue, and am working on adding the ambient sounds. I have added the first 5th of the ambient and foley sounds. I am waiting on a download for some other atmospheres I need. I will now start working on an Encore Menu. This is turning out really well.

Despite previous claims by me.....here are more grabs...... CC'd and everything......

Woohoo! Each of the shots comes straight from my storyboard. It is neat to see them take on life on screen. I am trying to rent the downtown theater in Fresno for "Stricken's" Premiere. It should hold 400 people. We are going to try and pack it out! I am also still thinking of ideas for the Encore Menu.

You have a wonderful technique matt! Probably the most anticipated movie in horrorfest for me

Thanks Versus. I know I will not dissapoint. :-) This movie is turning out very well.

That would be great, but Leo still has not sent it. Maybe he is tweaking the last bugs out of it or something. ;-) I can't wait to hear it!

Cool stuff Matt. Once Leo sends the theme, be sure to post it here! :) Let me know when you have that premiere! I am not sure how long of a drive it'd be for me, but I might be able to come out.

Thanks! Here is the Premiere screen from my locked cut. You can see the different levels of audio. Lots of FOLEY! :-)

Cool stuff with the screenshot! Well, the budget included equipment purchase right? That's not bad, if that's so. I think you have a great project for that cash.

That's true. But it is coming down to the point where I am having to decide whether to finish the movie or pay the bills......:crybaby: That's easy! FINISH THE MOVIE! Mwah Ha Ha! No, it really isn't that bad, but it is a lot of money. I am estimating the budget will go up again as i want to rent the theater for the premiere, and have a cast party, and have a glass master made of the Stricken DVD, and have it professionally duplicated. Oh well. I love the project, the process, the product, and the people involved. It is worth it, and maybe Stricken will have strong enough legs to carry me to a feature deal. I already have the concept down for the full length feature. This is made to get people's attention. We shall see.

msconce, your project looks AMAZING! I love the production shots. Excellent, excellent!!! (and that is a sweet ride!)

Your poster is very striking. Love it. And I really love the skull in the eye! Never noticed that before in your banner.

Keep up the fantastic work. Looks like a treat!

This is going to be so much fun watching all of these films!

Matt I bow to you!!! You are willing to go ALL THE WAY with theater rentals, and parties and all......

As for the project and audio / foley...I know!! though I dont do the sound mix/design in premiere, we do it with NUENDO
