Weird things happen with no sleep, and I found that encourageing the laughter helped motivate the actors to remain happy and enjoying the shoot, even when we shot from 5pm to 8 am the next day..... They were awesome and made me laugh a lot. The behind the scenes has some neat shots of the dolly I built in action as well as the steady cam I built. It also has some cool 35mm adapter action and some other spiffy things. I will post it when I finish it.

About the waitresses. There was another scene where they had to be soaked...it was left to me to get the hose and make sure they were drenched.............darn.........

The BTS is coming together well...I think I will go the music approach wih titles, instead of dialogue. The dialogue, I will save for the Director's commentary.
 
just watched your funny video!!! was a lot of fun!! I really liked what I saw, even though it was funny bts I now have a pretty good picture of what you did and how you did it and I say THUMBS UP Matt!

Cool glad you liked it! Wait till you see the real BTS. I will be showing the setup for the shot , the BTS camera filming the shot and then the real shot. You will be able to see what it was like to actually be there. :)

I am waiting for the pics from our last day of shooting to come up so I can post some BTS as well...but no video, just pics. That way you can see me in front of my DVX pressing some buttons and think 'wow, he is seting up the scene' where I'm actually whispering to myself 'f***, I forgot what shutter means'

I love that - I was just about to give up on reading through this superlong thread. Thanks for the map.

2400? Wow. I didn't spend that much and I even had to pay for hookers. You must have purchased a lot of hookers.

I think all the hookers were scared away by the sheer terror and mind numbing suspense of our film.....We did have the Waitresses in their french maid outfits though.....Basically, Equipment pushed the cost up. Follow Focus, Hard drive, Make up and effects, more lighting, etc.

Thanks! The BTS reel will also be great. I get a kick out of watching the blooper reel though. It brings back fun memories.
 
The Blooper reel has been taken down but will be on the DVD. Go a couple pages ahead to see the BTS.
