Anyone have experience on matching C100mk1/C300mk2?
C300mk2 will be wide of interviewee and C100mk1 for CU/headshot - both using Canon L glass
Shooting at 1080/25fps

I was going to suggest checking to see if Abel Cine had matching scene files for them, but an early article indicates that they don't. They said they they manually copied the scene files they created for the C300 to the 100 and the vectorscopes lined up very well. BUT that was from the original 300, not the mark two, which has been widely noted to have a very different image and color reproduction than the original. My other suggestion, which you probably thought of, is shoot log on both, if possible(never shot a 100, so I don't know its capabilities). And whatever you do, I'd shoot something like a Macbeth color checker chip chart with both cameras in the same lighting set-up to help line them up in post, as best as possible. Some cameras are just a pain to match and they take a lot of work and some you just can't match, no matter what you do.

They're different cameras with different sensors and image processors, so they will never match perfectly. But I've had decent luck shooting Wide DR on C100s and then Neurtral rec709 Wide DR on the C300 KII. I imagine C-log would also provide a decent starting point too.

I created some picture profiles for the C100 MK II for matching with the C300 MK II, but the C100 MKI and MKII don't match either. Just make sure that you white balance the cameras with a card rather than set them manually to the same Kelvin. The white balance between the cameras is different.

I have had experience using both cameras for interviews etc and basically they are virtually impossible to match.

Find and light a good scene with good dynamic range and a comprehensive range of colors. Include an X-Rite color chart or similar, set both cameras to the same shot size, or very close, with matching exposures and upload a full size still frame grab from each camera and let's see if anyone can create a LUT for color match. Just tell us which camera image is the master shot that you want the #2 camera to match.

Done this a number of times with mixed cameras of different brands and got pretty close using the color match function in 3 D LUT Creator Pro. Cameras that are closer than this example are easier to match.

I've found C-Log varies quite a bit from Version 1 cameras to Version 2 cameras. And different firmware revisions. I think I'd probably use WideDR.

I've done several shoots with my C200 and rented C300 MKIIs and I am amazed at how different the cameras look just using Wide DR. Somehow, the C200 looks more subdued and perhaps a touch more "filmic" while the C300 MKIIs seem to have a much more "709" look and feel with more color and contrast that upon looking at the monitor, is more appealing. But keep in mind that I am usually shooting .MP4 with the C200, no clients have been brave enough to specify shooting Cinema RAW Light. In my own tests, CRL can be graded to look sharper and "better" (slightly) than XF-AVC 410 Mbps from the 300 MKII.

It's just interesting that supposedly the C200 uses the same imager as the C300 MKII. To me, based upon my experience, the two look pretty different.

Even C100 Mark I and Mark II have a little diffrent color science. Why Canon do this? Matching Sony A6300 with FS5/7 is very simple, they are almost the same with color

I've had decent luck matching C100i in Clog1 with C300ii Clog1 side by side, I had to remove a fair bit of yellow cast from the C100 first though.
