General Magic Lantern...shooting at 60fps and high shutter speeds...error?

I've been trying to capture some slow-motion in 1280x720 60fps and a high shutter speed, but getting a lot of ERROR and having to take the battery out and back in. Is this a characteristic of Magic Lantern, or just a limitation of the Canon 60D?

Try it without ML and see.

Wow, helpful.

Anyone with experience? The only reason I don't want to try w/o Magic Lantern is because I don't want to uninstall it and off of all my cards and I do use ML a lot for time lapses. My second inevitable question would be how to work around the ERROR.

Wow, helpful.

You can start your camera without loading ML by holding the shutter halfway during power-up.

There is no need to be rude, I am trying to be helpful by instructing you on proper troubleshooting technique, since it is not at all obvious that you are familiar with such. Remember that there are professionals present on this board and you should conduct yourself in a professional manner - snarky comments about not having everything done for you don't cut it on a real set, and they shouldn't be tolerated here.

Your rude comment happened to be directed at one of those professionals who did happen to be trying to help you - and he won't help you again after this.

And you don't see how your response could have been interpreted as snarky?

And lets not start this "professional" discussion. People making a living off of doing this for 20+ years sometimes don't even call themselves that. So I'm quite alright if I don't have your almighty blessing.

a1ex, I'll most definitely try that out -- this is a more recent build of the unified build?

I didn't take it as such, my first thought would be to instruct you to do that same very thing. This way it would rule out if its ML related or something else with the cam. Personally I don't like any posts that are rude.. regardless..

Anyhow,

How about explaining in detail the scenario and what troubleshooting techniques you have performed. This way it would be allow us to answer accordingly without you misinterpreting is a 'snarky' remark. Try to be as explicit as possible..

ex: I'm shooting outside and its pretty hot out (100 degrees or so) with my shutter speed @ 1200. When I cut my shutter speed down to 60 it seems to work, but when its up at 1200 I seem to be getting errors. I have a 8gb trancend class 4 card. Can anyone provide any insight as to why?

This way it'll give us a better picture since we are not with you to see the problem. Otherwise you will get 'well did you cut it on?' type questions.

Hope that helps, again try to be explicit and i'm sure someone would be more than willing to help you figure out your problem.

:)
