does anyone else experience this? I find its generally happening if I change from for example a high aperture prime (1.4) to a zoom (2.8).

If I change from the lower aperture to the higher (2.8 changing to 1.4) it doesnt generally do it.

It's MASSIVELY frustrating!
 
sorry guys I thought I'd written the issue in the title, just seen that I only put half of it up there.

Magic lantern locks up my whole camera when I change lens. It doesnt happen when running the stock firmware, but when AJ5.9 is running and I change a lens over, I'd say 3 times in 10 the camera requires a battery pull.
 
did a wedding yesterday and noticed that it also regularly locks up when I push the liveview button to turn the screen on and off to save battery.

Its getting to be a major problem for me
 
And here you have the reason I have never even tried ML. With the current state of the OEM firmware and the fact I always run separate sound, I just don't think it buys you enough to begin to be worth the hassle.
 
if only it did what it should do (and what the unified version for 60d, 500d, 550d etc did) then it would save me having to use dual sound for the less important moments of the day. Really would be a massive benefit to me.

Has anyone else had experience of this lens change lock up? I can't find much about it but it seems to be a pretty major issue so that surprises me
