(Caveman, that Bush comment is going to need to be deleted. Sorry bud, no politics.)

I do believe this is one of our own fellow DVXUsers...

;D

(btw - I own both Mac and PC and proudly proclaim what I can do with each machine - including giving credit to 3D Studio Max AND Final Cut Pro. I don't get it. What's the prob? They each suck in their own way, always have, always will) Although, I've never put "Made with Mac" on anything. I prefer the "Made with Talent" option myself. ;D

To the point!

So why are both camps bitching here?  This is not a computing forum, but a video/filmmaking forum.  As long as the computer does the job, who cares if you're using a PC or a Mac.  In the end, if you or iSuck at shooting with the camcorder, not one of those two computer types will help.

"Made on a computer"

Re: Made with a Mac

From a non-hostile mac user point of of view, all the time wasted bashing MAC could've been used being "creative", I guess it's just insecurity and ignorance that leads to this. Much like racism. Most mac users don't have any problems with people who use PC's they just choose to work on a more reliable operating system.

I love this kind of benign PC bashing that Mac users constantly try and slip in under the radar... :P

You probably v*t*d for B**h ..... didn't you Jimmerson

Hey, here's a shock: I use a PC AND I voted against Bush... :o Politics really have nothing to do with computers, chief...

i-don't break down on a daily basis

i-don't either (it helps if you know how to use a computer before you start trying to change the world with it)

i-like to spend time being productive and not fixing my computer all day

Never ever had to fix one of my PC's. And again, it helps if you know how to use the computer before you start bashing it because you keep destroying it.

i-prefer faster render times

As for your "faster render times", you've obviously never used an AMD-64 FX processor... There's a reason Steve Jobs is afraid to test them against G5's in his little "render-off's". ::)

Somebody kill this thread now...

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Computer end program...

Re: Made with a Mac

What, I voted for Bush because my computer never crashes? Because I never have to repair it? Because I just rendered a 21-minute project to MPEG-2 in 13 minutes?

;D WOW  ;D

People really take having a little fun too seriously  ;)

So ... sorry if I truly offended anybody ... chief   ;)
p.s. how did you know I was native american ?

I usually stay out of these little "platform wars" because it's always such a dead end, but I had the day off for "presidents day".

This is just the "cafe" ...
and some pc guy complained about a "made on a MAC" logo on a website.

I just hope nobody carries this hostility over to real threads... t'wood be a shame.

PEACE.

Re: Made with a Mac

Some PC guy never new it would come to this....Wow!

I just got a umax Mac 500 from Value Village. The poor thing looked like it needed a home. Haven't been able to bring the poor bugger to life yet, but you can bet I will....And when I do, the first thing I'm gonna do is post something "Made on a Mac rescued from the junk pile" You see, I already love my Mac, and my Atari and my four PC's. and my fish and my monkey and............You guys ;D ;D

Re: Made with a Mac

Sorry, Cave. I wasn't trying to come off like that. ;D But I have to admit, you didn't exactly sound like you were kidding.

Re: Made with a Mac

Yeh, we love you too, Mino. Nothing like a good platform discussion to get everyones blood boiling... I guess its a good thing we can't discuss politics on here. We'd probably all be hunting each other down. Wow, a Umax Mac. Now thats a computer from the Dark Days! I doubt anyone on here could dispute that.

Re: Made with a Mac

I know ... my problem is I talk to you guys like I talk to my best friends... and for people who don't necessarily know me on the personal level.... my best friend is die hard PC and we go off on each other but at the end of the day we're still best friends.

Enlightenment !!!!

All computers suck!!! Because the human elements of conversation and all trace of personality are washed away by text and code.

At least we have smileys !

;D

"Let me put it this way, The PC series is the most reliable computer ever made. No PC computer has ever made a mistake or distorted information. They are all, by any practical definition of the words, foolproof and incapable of error."

I also have a good deal on a used bridge if any of you people are interested ;)

Did I mention the awful sense of humor that PC freaks have. ;)

O.K.

Mino, the same could be said of all computers right?
