Made with a Mac

Mino

Northern Dreamer
Wow...It's rant time again. I have to say here and now that I'm very impressed with web sites and blogs that proudly display the "Made With a Mac" icon. I'm so impressed that I'm changing the way I live. I drove to KFC to get a bucket of chicken today, when I got to the counter I was greeted by a pleasant young girl who said
"Can I help you"

"I arrived by Ford" I proclaimed.

Today I made a call to the local theatre

"Hello...Blah Blah theatre" said the other end

"I'm calling on a Panasonic phone" says I

I'd like to thank all you Mac people for making me aware.

And now, back to your regular universe.....

Re: Made with a Mac

I think your just jealous mino..

the fact that people can't proudly display the fact that "This was made on a PC"...

:P

This previous post has been brought to you by sarcasm! Now with more humour!

The previous sponsor message was written on a Mac.

Re: Made with a Mac

Well, the reason it's a good idea to put "made by Mac" on everything is that, when someone finds a problem or a flaw with it, they can just say, "Oh, he was using a Mac... I guess we can't blame HIM." ;D

And to keep up with the trend,

The previous post was recorded live on a Logitech keyboard.

Re: Made with a Mac

I don't get it either.

It's not like being made on a mac does anything for the quality of what's actually there :P.

Re: Made with a Mac

Exactly. I was on a shoot with a guy who looked into an office, saw a bunch of macs and said... "it's nice to see creative people".

I guess my PC-using ass isn't creative then.

Well, I'm really not that creative, but it has nothing to do with the PC. :P

Re: Made with a Mac

Damn Mino, youve got the makings of a mighty fine short there. If you dont make a little funny ass movie out of this, your an idea waster!

My friend was telling me reasons why Macs are better than PCs. One of her points was that all the Liberal Arts majors at her school use Macs, and all the "squares" use PCs.

Guess I'm a square. ::)

Linksys?

This was typed into a Gateway laptop connected via Netgear hub to a Gateway desktop using a Happy Hacker keyboard after consuming some Post Raisin Bran, which is going to result in the morning use of Angel Soft while reading the Harper Collins published book Rebels On The Backlot by Sharon Waxman and burning Nag Champa incense while on the Kohler toilet. But first I'll be using my Route 66 flannel pants to warm the Magnolia seat. Now, off to the front porch for a Basic light.

Nag champa smells sooooo good. I think I'll go light up a stick myself.

Did you tell her if that if she really thinks that way (ad homnem, false appeal to authority, generalization), her liberal arts education has been wasted on her?

Sucker of the Apple marketing department, she . . . ;)

Re: Made with a Mac

I think it's interesting that people take such pride in a tool that they announce the tool used to create a product that otherwise bears no marks of the tool used. No one puts a sign on the side of a house announcing "Hammered together with Estwing"

Made with 3DSMax, rendered in Maya, Edited in Vegas, shot on Kodak with Panavision cameras, modeled in autoCAD, mixed in ProTools, edited in Photoshop, shot with a DVX100a, etc.

I also think it's interesting that no one really ever raises questions at the above uses, yet when "made with a mac" pops up on a website, there's a room full of PC users ready to snicker at the inclusion, yet have nothing to say about the actual content produced.
