Mac G5 won't recognize my P2 Store

It's not an Intel-based Mac.

I installed the P2 card driver, installed the P2 Store driver, connected the P2 Store, powered on, and... NOTHING. No drives pop-up on my desktop. I open the P2 Manager and the status is "Disconnected."

I unistalled the software (deleted the folders and emptied the trash) and tried again. Nada.

Has anyone else had problems? The troubleshooting in the manual is pretty shallow.

make sure there's something on the drive... that's the first thing. Otherwise, no volume will mount. You'll see it if you launch Disk Utility or something, but it won't mount to the desktop w/o some data in it.

You have set it to the Mac mode? It defaults to the PC mode.

Is there a hardware setting? I installed the MAC software.
Bill, i have 2 clips on the P2 card, I did a transfer and the status is 100%. I'm not even seeing it in Disk Utility when I connect via USB and power on.

About to try repairing permissions on my MAC HD.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks, Mico. About to give it a shot.

EDIT: I'm in business! Thanks so much. What a pain in the ass that was.

I have a P2 Store ordered and it is scheduled to arrive on Monday so I went ahead and read the above mentioned manual. -- Frankly, I'm worried. The manual was obviously written by someone for whom English is a second or maybe third language.

I mean geez, for a $1500.00 product, couldn't they have someone at Panasonic USA produce a manual without a language barrier?

I take it back.

I got my P2 Store today and the manuals are everything you would expect from Panasonic. Nothing like the downloaded pdf.

Everything is great!
