Here is some footage i took with the hv20 in 25p cinemode in my house in low light. i used HDVslpit to capture footage, then virtualdub to add some sharpness, resize it to 1280 x 720 (so the file was smaller but still keeping the 16:9 ratio), and XVID as the video compressor in its standard settings with the bitrate set to 8000kbit/s resulting in a 21mb file.

prefect words i wanted to hear ...... :)

hey guys i wanted to upload full uncomressed HDV but that would be MASSIVE.... plus the free upload site i'm using has a 100MB upload file cap Grrrr but i did some very quick ( excuse the crappy pans from the cheapo tripod ) garden shots. captured with hdvslip, editing in premier pro 2.0 and frameserved to virtualdub and exported as Xvid codec @ 1920x1080 ( in the highest bit rate possible ) the outcome was a 47 second 61.9MB file..

some bad things though.... i left cinemode on wich i dont like as the image doesn`t come out as sharp, and i didnt do any manual cam setting just point and shoot basically...

..but here it is

OR

Garden - 1080 - 25p.avi

Hi Marty,

What kind of lighting did you have in your house at the time? Did it look roughly comparable to how it does in the footage?

If so, that's quite amazing.

Thanks, Steve
