LoveFest Rules

So if the credits only acknowledged dvxuser and nobody else to save on time, would that be alright? I don't want to neglect everyone who worked on this, but I don't want to hack up my entry too much either.

I guess we'll find out.

You should always credit everyone in your film though. Even a final frame credit will allow for that.

Quite often in the past though, just for DVXuser, there were no credits, and the crew and cast were credited in the first post of the thread, to save time / bandwidth, then later on your website or whatever you could put the real credits, but that was back in the old days before the 10 or 15 second credit rule, so who knows now.

That's cool. I didn't know that. Not a bad idea...

One frame credits are fine--we never had a minimum. The intent is to prevent the agony of drawn out feature length credits on a short film.

I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but I just want to be certain, can I shoot 1.85 and deliver it letter boxed in 16:9? The rules say it has to be formatted to 16:9, so I take it to mean letter boxed. Is this a correct assumption?

Thanks!

Don't waste bandwidth on black.

Export at the native aspect ratio you are working in if possible.

The picture area must be 16:9 or wider. (So no 4:3 projects)
We've had entries that where 4:3 files, but letterboxed to 16:9 video - was ok, but a waste of bandwidth for the black bars.

I think it depends on the beauty of the boobs!

Seriously, I would like to know the answer to this question as well.

Hey, does the R rating include boobs?
You can see boobs in a PG-13 so I don't see a problem in a R rating.

Below is a quote from Hudson concerning the "rating" system. This was taken from "Everything you wanted to know about Horrorfest but were afraid to ask"
3. All films must be a "R" or lower. Our "R" rating is pretty loose.. and its a hard R.. this is horror.

In the opinion of the Rating Board, this film definitely contains some adult material. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about this film before they allow their children to accompany them. An R-rated film may include strong language, violence, nudity, drug abuse, other elements, or a combination of the above, so parents are counseled in advance to take this advisory rating very seriously.

The victim at the top who's then shown gutted was naked head to toe in REKINDLED.

S I M I L O had full on B O O B.

And CPU had a flash frame of one.

Haha, I can't tell either. Either he means by and large they haven't, or it is a joke referring to the present conversation.

Sometimes Mr. Green is an enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in a tortilla.

I was referring to the 300 lb naked woman and the extremely graphic female masturbation in certain entries...:)
