FEATURE: Love Covers All

Well the film is officially done as of 2 days ago...It's been 332 days since our first shooting day. Not too shabby! Thank you to all who've encouraged me to persevere and complete this project and especially those who helped make the movie possible in the first place. Now I'm moving on to the DVD itself. I have BTS to complete, a commentary to record, menus to create, print proofs of the DVD cover to check, etc. There's still some work to do before I mail off the DVD master in 2 weeks! Onward and upward...

Pre-sales have started rolling in and endorsements have started coming:

"LOVE COVERS ALL is storytelling at its best. The movie perfectly exemplifies forgiveness, redemption, second chances, faith and love. This isn’t just a great Christian movie, it is a great movie."
-- TIM WILDMON, PRESIDENT, AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION

"LOVE COVERS ALL is an awesome story of God’s redemptive love and grace. It's never to late to start a new life in Christ!"
-- TJ HARRIS, DECYFER DOWN

"LOVE COVERS ALL is a film with a story that challenges us as believers, a film that can really connect with people on a personal level. Most importantly, it's a reminder to all of us that through Christ, it's never too late for a second chance."

Congratulations on finishing a movie, especially one that is garnering wide praise! This endorsement jumped out at me, and I'm curious if you intend to market the film pretty exclusively as a Christian film, because I suspect that this particular endorsement would tend to assure that it doesn't stray far from that market for those that pay attention. However, I do wonder even about that - the Christian market is a large market, but it's not homogenous, there is quite a bit of variety, and Tim Wildmon and the American Family Association can be "controversial" even in that market, particularly with the younger generation (which might be more represented in the target audience?). It's an interesting question - are all endorsements good in that regardless of how big an influence they may have, at least they can get into a particular segment of the market, or can it also happen that the presence of some endorsements can be simultaneously detrimental to other segments of the market. Obviously, you must have carefully considered all this, having sought out that indorsement, which to my mind is an interesting strategy. Anyhow, wish you much success!

It's hard to say how it could hurt things...in my space it would help though. It's a tough quote to beat that's for sure. I might get some others though just before printing that might beat it...so we'll see.

Thanks for the well wishes!

Nice. Missed this as I was not coming to dvx the past couple weeks because of Holiday travel.

Congratulations!
