I will go ahead and check out times that the theater will be available. I can reserve it for us after I figure out some dates. Any specific time frame? ie: mid July, Late July, Early August, etc. I will be on vacation from July 27-Aug. 3 but other than that my schedule is pretty open to whatever.

I'll get back to you guys after I figure out some open nights.
 
I have no idea really whats going on.. its not an official meeting, i think DC is just getting people together. hes been very adament of keeping the info off dvxuser so i think its just his buddies hooking up. HVX only if i remember.

Whoah, let me clarify to Jarred and everyone before any rumours run wild. :)

I definitely WANT the info on DVXUser regarding the Los Angeles HVX User Group and I've continually posted about it, albeit in the "HVX Latest News "section. So yeah, it's official. It's just that MySpace has this "group" feature that allows me to keep it more organized. I would gladly utilize DVXUser exclusively for this purpose if I had access to that type of functionality. So what I opted to do was post minimal meeting info on DVXUser so people could go over to the MySpace group site for the full scoop. That way I could keep better track of people who join and plan to come. All Los Angeles DVXUsers (that are HVX users/enthusiasts) are welcome to join. But like Jarred said, I do want to keep the focus exclusively on the HVX. The DVX is cool but I think we'd all be better served if there was a seperate DVX User Group in Los Angeles. Cross membership/participation would be fine though. :)

My idea for the HVX U.G. was for locals to get together once per month or so for networking, teaching, learning, comradery, etc. The group is not meant to compete with DVXUser in any way, rather to compliment it and work together (locally). In fact, Jarred came and helped make it a great experience. I look forward to our user group and DVXUser growing together over the coming months. :)
 
hey i live in the LA area and am new to DVX, I have a DVX-100a and was wondering are there any meetings going?

Those of us who are going to be down at AOF on Sat. Let's meet up sometime in the afternoon or something and we can grab a cup o' coffee or somethin'
 
Wow, I just read every single post here starting months and months ago and as I read I was thinking this is cool because there was going to be a meeting. I just couldn't believe that there wasn't a DVX user group in L.A. and as the thread went on and on I was thinking this was like the longest foreplay I ever saw and just knew that there had to be a climax here with a meeting or something happening and.................Nothing, it was just dry humping!!!!

What does it take to get something going here? I'm in Santa Monica as well. Something just needs to be set up and a date and place picked and whoever can make it will make it and then maybe just have a regular day every month and people will start to plan for it.

Let's try to get something happening for DVX users.

well I would guess the LA bootcamp would be like a dvxuser meeting holmes. too bad i missed it cause im an ignoramus type of fellow at times. I would like to meet other dvx'ers as well.
