All I can tell you be careful with one of your actors.... just shot a feature with one of them and all I can tell you is this Thursday and Friday we're doing a reshoot so that everything can match when this actor made up his own lines...

Someone have a place we can screen stuff?

I work at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach... I work in the AV department and part of that is running the theater. I could easily get you guys in for a night for free if you'd like. I'd have to work around all the scheduled events we have here, but that's not a big problem. Let me know some possible dates and I could help out. Fairly nice theater... seats 164 people, screen is some 16 ft by 10 ft (i think, going off top of my head).

As in what films would you screen, or what format would it need to be screened?

If it's the latter, the whole theater runs off a DVD player primarily, but can also run VHS. Beta is possible, but requires quite a bit of setup and hence might not end up being free, considering I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the Beta setup, and my co worker is far more knowledgable and would have to come in and do it for me.

I'd come down for that! That would be fun!

Well if you guys can figure out a date, it would be no problem at all. Just make sure to let me know as far in advance as possible so I can secure it for us. Hell, maybe by the time we get something figured out maybe I can have something made up to show as well. Only had my DVX about 3 weeks and I'm itching to do something.

June 16th, 2006 anyone?

Just a random date... post hero-fest. We could screen the SoCal hero-fest entries along with anything else. I would love to see any DVX/HVX on a screen that size. I also think it would be good to meet before or after to be able to chat, make some connections, etc. Maybe a local bar/grill. Over pints of course (for those that indulge).

There's a great pub right down the street, also many restaurants, that might do just dandy.

If anyone else can comment on the June 16th date, please do so. I can find out if that will work out tomorrow if more people can agree that'd be a good date.

Yeah, any Dvx/Hvx stuff on screen is worth going, we should just screen shorts though, alot more to see in one night.

If you wanna meet before, youd might as well meet up at that restaurant across the street, chit-chat, then move right into the cinema. It's gonna be hard for many to come down twice.

I'm down for that date... I'd love to see how my short looks on the BIG screen... probably will look crappy :) but whatever.
