GH3 Looking Good, Stop Worrying - Watch This New GH3 Video Review!

Pretty heavy noise on the left side of his head, but I agree it looks great for 3200. It's holding its dr pretty well for this iso too I think.

This is a GH2 ISO test posted in november 2010. Everybody went Oooooooooh and Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah including me and I didn't know how quick to pre-order the GH2.
Strange that apperantly the GH2 pre-production models performed better at higher ISO's than the actual production models. This video shows less noise at higher ISOs than my GH2s do. In fact the only thing I shot in ISO 1800 looks like crap and if it wasn't porn I wouldn't been able to sell it. (must admit I never tried neat video).

So much for making buying decisions based on pre-productions models samples, folks :-)

I'll wait till March or so.

Great point, BUT the GH3 is a better camera over the GH2. Everyone who has used one says so....

Yes true, EOSHD and Bloom are more credible than some vague dude in Taiwan who only uploads a few test videos to Youtube from time to time. But still, all tests with the GH3 so far were with pre-production models and beta firmware, right?

Yes, I just seen Phillip Bloom tweet though that he is getting a reviewable GH3 shipped to him now.

I'm assuming that will be a final or at least close to final build.
Furthermore I agree with you that high iso on GH2 is a no go, but it's still an excellent camera. GH3 while might not be an upgrade for many, at least for me it will be.

Just having a bigger body with a grip that I can hand held better will be worth the price of admission, couple that with a better stills camera, weather sealed, improved codec, 1080p 60fps and this is it for me. Even if currently the GH2 with the hack might be sharper I know the GH3 is still better than a 7d/60d and I shot most of my productions with it.

If the final version of the GH3 really has better higher ISOs I'll definitely buy it. I've been very productive with the GH1 and GH2 and poor high ISOs is my only concern with the GH2, apart from that I love it and having to buy the GH3 just to get usable high ISOs definitely is worth the investment for me.

another review (pre-production 0.5 firmware)

is this suggesting no ETC mode? :( didn't see them mention it anywhere else in there review.

The ETC Tele Mode is here, I tested it ( as like as the slomo 40% ) on this real quick hands on video I made a few days ago with the GH3 ( sorry for the flickering light the shutter speed dial was kinda broken on this model  ) : https://vimeo.com/53338605.
