Looking for the Tokina 11-16?

for anyone that wants this lens still try your local camera shop. I just called mine in portland and they said they had plenty in.

TBH I bought the 16-50 (which NOBODY ever talks about on this forum) and it is amazing and at 16mm it's super duper wide.

if you are looking, call samy's on fairfax in hollywood. ask for fernando. if he doesn't have one, he will call you when he does. they get them in stock like every week it seems but they sell out within one day. i put my name on his list and within 2 days he called me.

also, i am in san fran right now. i saw that the touristy camera shop down at fisherman's wharf had 3 on the shelf. however, i suspect that their price sucks based on what they quoted me for other lenses...

Can you tell me what store you're talking about? I'm in Portland as well, and have been trying to get my hands on this lens for quite a while. Thanks.

my screening room is 30' x 18'....

^ Sweeeet.

I, for one, think that with the wild popularity of this lens that it deserves a nickname: La Femme Tokina.

Other ideas?

I hate me too... lol
nah but all joking aside I seen some of the shots of this lens out there and I just wanted to post this since I know the exact specs of the room size, I also wanted to demonstrate what everyone knows about this lens already and the straight lines and symmetrical image it produces.

I'm in Vegas for NAB - and just wanted to share this little clip with you guys. It's ofcourse shot with the Tokina 11-16.

shot @ 12mm
