hi there, Im looking for a good tripod to do interviews in and outdoor and make festival reports. Do you guys have any tips? Because I really dont know where to begin. Thanks a lot.

Make sure you get a fluid head, and a pretty thick set of sticks. Aluminum is cheaper, works just as well, but is easier to ding and dent. Carbon fiber is strong, durable, and much pricier. Also, avoid floor/ground-level spreaders. They're fine for flat surfaces, but make outdoor shooting difficult. If you look at a tripod with a spreader, make sure it's mid-level.

Not knowing your budget, here are a few options from Bogen:

Inexpensive, compact, not necessarily the sturdiest, but can get the job done:

Better, sturdier, mid-level spreader:

Also pretty solid, no spreader:

Another solid contender:

And a good option from Libec:

Look for other options from Libec and Cartoni. Also look at Sachtler, which is like buying a Mercedes but well worth the investment if you have the money.

You'll also see budget kits from Smith-Victor and from Davis & Sanford. Those have gotten mixed reviews, so do your research.

Light weight, super fluid, professional. counter balanced and stable, love it for interviews 503 Bogen HDV head, 525 Legs! Can't go wrong!
Cheers

Yeah, it's great but you can find this on EBAY, if you don't mind the EBAY thing for a much lower price! I use this for smaller shoots and it's so light to carry around, the head is amazing for the price
I paid $500.00 for both!
CHEERS

Ah okay than. I never used Ebay before so that feels like a big risk to me, but I will check it out. Thanks again guys you are very helpfull.

I really look for a lightweight tripod so that would be fine.
