Im gonna go for the 11" arm I think, should offer plenty of movement!
The website seems unclear... does this monitor take a 'standard' HDMNI input, or the mini? It says something about both on the site but, im a little unclear as to exactly what it means. Obviously the hmc151 has a standard hmdi output.
ah crap is 1.5 not the standard? is that a mini one?
I almost went lilliput, got the 5" marshall. Cons are: it's small; the peaking filter is useless with a DSLR (the aliasing makes the monitor think "everything's in focus") and it's $550;
The pros: monochrome and blue-only, so you can get it decently calibrated; 1:1 pixel setting so you can get focus setup; works really well with the HMC150's peaking; and it's a very high quality image.
I opted for something that could be basically calibrated and I'm glad - I've found you just can't push the HMC footage as hard as Canon's DSLR codec, and you can get very close to your desired look by flipping through a scene file's settings while checking the monitor - it's essentially "real time" grading on set, to a great extent.
For the price of two Lilliputs you get a much smaller screen and you'll need some rechargeable AA's or a custom cable for power - but I'm finding I can trust the color on the thing.
which 5" marshall monitor?
