Lilliput Monitor with HMC150?

I thought about the 8" model too. The reasons I went 7" were due to portability, weight, and power. The other big reason is that others had gotten the 7" and were happy with it. I didn't want to go with a unit I hadn't seen someone else use.

Every time I've connected it up to my HMC150, I'm smiling. I want to try the component in and see how that looks. HDMI certainly is the only thing I will use with my 150, so it doesn't really matter.

BTW, I tested at 720p24, 720p60, and 1080p24. All worked fine.

Well, I'm going to try the 8". I can't see it working any differently, but I guess I'll find out.

Kurt, Purchased the 8" model. I had to use paypal since they don't take anything other than Western Union. I sometimes get nervous with paypal especially when I see it's going to some name that is not American. I assume you had a good purchasing/shipping experience. I realize this information would have been more valuable about 7 minutes ago.....

Purchasing went fine. I was nervous too. They shipped the unit out really fast and it made it from China in like 4 days. Free shipping. Amazing.

BTW, Do you plan on using a Noga arm?

I see you have the on screen stuff on the external monitor too..... what setting did I miss? I'm only seeing the standard view on my external monitor.

Oops = never mind I found it !

This option looks really good I think I am going to give coolcd a try as well. Thanks guys for giving your opinions.

Not sure what a Noga arm is. That is going to be the challenge; to figure out how to mount this thing.

Ill be using a modified one of these... I removed a section and added 1/4" thumb screws to the ends...

I also used it to mount my T1i on my bike recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpXWrUA7R6Q

.

I have the super clamp if its something other than the camera. But I hope to just mount it to the top screw mount on the camera, to be light weight and mobile.

How would you rate the ability too see proper exposure?

I think it is OK indoors. I still plan to use the WFM and zebras to make sure.

I bought a RedrockMicro Arm and I decided to pickup a battery from smallHD. Last thing to do is get a sleeve for carrying and build a sunscreen.

My monitor should be here by the end of the week. As mentioned I got the 8" model. Rather than mounting this to the camera, I would like to mount it off of my tripod. I have Manfrotto MVB351 sticks. Can anyone recommend a good way to mount this monitor off of the tripod sticks? I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I need some kind of clamp that will fit my tripod legs and screw into the monitor.

Looks like a good suggestion. If I am reading the clamp description correctly, it seems that the thread is 5/8." I am not sure what size the holes are on the monitor. Can't seem to find any info about that on CoolLcd's website.

It has 1/4 inch also, and even a smaller hole... But you also can mount to the post that comes with it, depending on the arm.
