Lilliput Monitor with HMC150?

Im going to make the plunge - If it works out I saved a bunch of money... Otherwise I need a decent HD monitor for the JIB and this would be perfect if I do decide to get a pro-grade monitor one day.

Let me know how that smallHd batt works out..
 
You always can exchange it... I know sucks loosing $$ on shipping though... I just did today with B&H

It's not clear that the 8" is a different manufacturer. The 7" I have is not a true lilliput either. Wait till you plug it in and see how it looks before you panic. I suspect it'll be fine.
 
Sounds good, the one we ordered has a little better back light from the specs...

Hows the sunhood coming? There are a bunch of DIY shades in the DIY section... I may go with something easy like a black plastic folder cut nicely and velcro...

Tracking says mine is scheduled for monday too... caught up to yours for the ride over :)

BTW never heard of UPS being so quick, especially for free to the customer.
 
I was shocked at how fast it arrived. I haven't worked on the sunhood yet. Not shooting outside too much these days. Minnesota is kinda cold this time of year, so I have some time.

My tracking no longer shows an expected delivery date. All I know is it left somewhere in South Korea this morning.

sooooo.... got the little guy today. Must say I am super impressed with how sharp and crisp the image is. It's very easy to see whats in focus. For the money its a great little monitor. I still am not sure about the color representation and exposure accuracy, but something I can live with for now.

Ill post some pix soon...

That is one sweet rig. I'm glad you're happy with the monitor. It's hard to knock for the price...

I think the color is fine, but the crisp image was way better than I expected. I'm nailing focus with it every time.

How did that batt pack work out, smallHD? I am looking into those..
 
I don't know about the battery yet. They are on backorder. Mine is due to ship mine on the 15th. I don't have a pressing need, so I can wait.
