Lighting: best litepanel product to use with GH1?

Just wondering whether anyone has used Litepanels products with the GH1, and if so which would you recommend?

Is it possible to use the Ringlite Mini for example on the GH1 or would it be better to use a 1x1 Litepanel along with one or two Miniplus Litepanels?

Looking for advice, opinions, feedback.

Thanks in advance.

PS: My preference for Litepanels being the fact that they remain cool even after being on a long time. Safety issue really.

LED is the way to go imho. Some more makers:

I shoot the picture below with two battery powered Falcon Eyes DV-60 lighting the singer in a city garden in the dead dark of night. Quite refreshing to have lights on stands that one can lift one-handed without being cumbered by power cords, especially as a one-man-crew. Made for a incredibly speedy set-up.

Hi Martti,

Thanks very much. Wow! It looks like Flolight is half the price of Litepanels. Amazing.

Please tell me why you prefer LED to Flolight's other series "Fluorescent".

Sorry to bother you. I don't know much about lighting at all. If all my interviews are indoors, should be getting the daylight or tungsten balanced lights?

Thanks very much in advance for your help,

- Nick

These images were lit with LED panels:

how is the build quality of the falcon products ?
They seem pretty good.

I only have used the Arri LightPanels and Coolights. The built quality of the Chinese made ones is equal or better than big brand names. Two of my gaffers are buying them now by the truckload.

looks cool but how did u get ur mits on one of those falcon dv-60s? I generally make it a policy not to purchase off companies who don't list their prices, but thought I'd give them a go.. Just tried to purchase, but there is a.) no price info shown on their site b.) no buy button and c.) when I spent 10 mins filling out one of their mandatory forms via their site to find out a price, it came back with an html error. Not impressed!

Yes they're alll made in China probably and if you would import them from China directly you would probably only pay 100 euro per unit or so.
