Here's an idea...how about using SSD's as the card? I know it's achievable right now, and all you would need to do is house the SSD in an enclosure.
I was about to go buy some more 64GB Lexar media (the kind that works) when I heard they were suddenly discontinued, but B&H no longer lists them as available.
Sony and Lexar should work out whatever disagreements may have come up, and work toward a solution that will not make both companies look bad, nor cause a flurry of product returns and bad reviews.
My hunch: Sony lost too much business to Lexar and pulled the licensing to make compatible cards, so now the new Lexar media is 'generic' and not compliant with the peculiar variant of protocol needed by FS7.
I've just checked Sony XQD's price. You're right, no point going Lexar's.to be honest: as much as i hate to pay for media, the sony 128 cards have come down in price and include a reader....the only bad experiences i have ever had with cards and readers was with lexar.....it's not like these new cards are THAT much cheaper then the official sony ones that work and will continue to work without firmware updates or one company blaming the other that something does not work....i will gladly pay the extra money for piece of mind...
