Lens cleaning tissues

Hello.

I recently purchased some Rosco lens cleaning fluid and tissues. I understand that whenever I use the tissues I should first dampen them with the fluid. The problem I'm finding is there is a slight residue left from the damp tisues. I am wondering if this is a problem and if there is a way round this...

Thanks

Sam

It can be a pandora's box cleaning a lense or filter, especially certain types i.e. UV filters are a nightmare. Next time I clean mine I'm just using the stuff I use on my eye glasses, to heck with "lense cleaner" that leaves rainbow streaks. Maybe it's the poor absorbancy of the lint free wipes... but I end up spending an hour trying to get that last little rainbow off of there, which makes another, which makes another. They should actually post warnings on the bottle, OCD people shold NOT use this product as it may irritate the condition leading to extreme prolonged states of agitation.

Use another dry tissue to immediately wipe the lens after you use the damp tissue.

I actually hardly ever use the fluid. A good trick is to hold the lens upside down and breath up onto it, then wipe it right away with the tissue.
