GH4 Leeming LUT One – the best LUT for the Panasonic GH4

Just a test for the Cinelike D + Leeming LUT v126 Combo. I wanted to see how it behaves regarding banding and a more or less heavy grading. But don´t judge the grading - I have only played around with some different MBL presets...

I'm in the fence to buy Paul's LUT but I'm sure sure it will work the same way with my FZ100, and I cannot have a GH4 corrected and a FZ1000 not corrected...
If the sensor is the same as that in the GH4, and as long as the FZ1000 has Cinelike D, it should work the same.

That said, if the results come out different, I'd be happy to take a look at a sample of each, shot identically, and see if I can match them together :)

Cheers,

Paul :)

Loving the samples people are posting :) Happy to see my labours bearing fruit! :D I'm especially happy to see that skin tones are holding up across a wide variety of situations.

Cheers,

Paul :)

Uwe, im looking for a vari nd. Saw you used one in your video. Is it something you can recommend? Or anyone else have recommendation. Need best vari nd. Sorry for off topic. Can pm me.....

That's ok.

For what it's worth, I have a full set of Tiffen Water White IRND filters at single stops (0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.1) because I found variable NDs to introduce too many problems with off axis colour shifts etc, and I also wanted to eliminate any IR contamination at higher ND stops. Sure, it costs more to have multiple filters, but each one is perfectly adapted and I don't have to worry about any weirdness in my shots.

Also, all NDs will have issues with ultra wide lenses, but Vari-NDs will exacerbate this even more, so be careful of this when shooting skies and wide angles with NDs.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming! :D

Has anyone done a comparison with high ISO/low light V-Log vs Cinelike D/Leeming LUT One? Are you seeing the green colour shift I'm seeing in V-Log L?

Cheers from Berlin,

Paul :)

Hi Paul - It seems the link to buy your LUT is currently greyed out on your website. I'm using Safari on a Mac. Any thoughts?

Doh! I just needed to scroll down...

Believe it or not, this is useful feedback. I designed my own website and coded it, so I made the main text box have soft edges to flow in from the bottom and out through the top. While most screen sizes and handheld sizes show enough of the text to let you figure out to scroll further if something is cut off, there might be one or two combinations where it is exactly cut off at the line before the button, making people think it's missing or greyed out due to the transparent overlay.

So I will take a look at my web code and figure out how to make the text fade in but have the button accessible even if it's in that transition zone.

Thanks!

Paul :)
