LCDVF - a few thoughts...

I find the focusing really quite difficult without resorting to the magnifiers on the 550d. Following action makes the screen experience quite jittery and not very enjoyable. I've no qualms about the build quality and fit which is fine, but a bit disappointed with the user experience. Is it similar with the Zacuto?
Other opinions gratefully received.

I've been using the Zacuto Z-Finder Jr. for just over a week now. The kit includes a spring steel hood retainer that is trapped between the tripod or plate and the camera; the slotted hole for the tripod screw allows you to load up the tension on the retainer. It seals quite well.

I've been enjoying the Z-Finder Jr. It magnifies the entire T2i viewfinder quite well. I used the enclosed frames to set the diopter to my eyes' needs. I did not notice any visual problems using the finder when shooting fast moving subjects including some work yesterday at a vintage racing event here in NW CT.

Update:

I'm cherishing the LCDVF when its attached to the camera, and so far its worked out great. Its successfully remained attached to the camera and hasn't fallen off since.

Its definitely a must for handheld shots for stability, and also shooting in bright light.

I've had the LCDF for about 2 weeks and it's been amazing. I don't know how I survived without it. It hasn't fallen off and the bond seems strong - I did follow the attachment instructions, which may be why it's still working so well. I'd recommend it to anyone wishing to save money on the expensive Zacuto.

Bought it, used it, loved it.
My metal ring did fall off though. Thinking bout putting 4 dabs of superglue on it to hold it in place since I most likely won't be selling it or getting rid of my lcdvf anytime soon.

save some money and buy z-finder and throw this crap away. I'm not saying that z-finder is perfect but at least it stays on camera as long as you need it.
