LCD Screen on GH1 not turning on

My LCD stopped turning on yesterday.

I can see an image through the EVF, but the LCD will not turn on.

I've tried pressing the LVF / LCD button, but still no luck. I had no previous issues with the LCD (purple lines, etc), and I never dropped / abused the camera.

I don't want to have to send this to Panasonic. Does anyone have any tips on how to solve this issue without tearing the camera apart?

Bummer--I'm sure you tried this, but did you toggle the software settings for the EVF back and forth a few times?
