C100: LCD random flicker

Anyone else seeing a random flicker on the LCD while filming? I shot an event today in Wide Dr and notice a very fast flicker in the LCD screen maybe once every minute or 2. At first I thought my eyes where playing tricks on me, but I noticed it through out the day. I'll check to see if it it's in the footage tomorrow, but was curious if anyone else had seen anything similar?

Just checked mine, staring at both LCD and EVF over 5 mins , no problem at all. is it flickrs no matter where and how you do with it ? or just specific setting?

one more thing, I also found out that the grip never locks down tightly, you just hold it and twist it a little you will notice that. lol

Yes! We have the same minor problem here.. It is quite annoying.. But as you said, nothing comes up on the footage.

It flickers so fast (fraction of a second) that I thought I was seeing things, but it kept doing it. Yes, It is quite annoying Athan. Glad to hear it's not just me.

Yes, I've seen it. I thought maybe I was going crazy, or seeing power fluctuations in the buildings I've been shooting in. I haven't noticed it on the footage.

mine does this too AND i'm seeing flickering in the actual recorded footage. though i am not sure the flickering of the LCD corresponds to the same flickering in the footage - the LCD flickers once every minute or two for a fraction of a second, but i've only noticed a few flickers in the actual recorded footage - i've only noticed a handful out of hours of footage. they're always 1 frame, and usually a slight overexposure, but i saw one that was a slight underexposure. has anyone else experienced this? trying to determine if my unit is defective. mainly shooting wide DR.

also should note that i noticed this in DAYLIGHT with no artificial light sources. did any of you with the LCD flickering ever contact canon? any updates on this issue?

strange it has taken this long for people to start noticing these problems? Maybe Canon have known about these issues and the new update is to fix these problems as well as add features.

i noticed mine doing this a while back too, but since i found it wasn't in the footage i didn't care.

maybe has something to do with aftermarket batteries,

Mine does it too in WideDR and the stock battery but like Darren, I have not seen it in my footage so I don't care.

Same with my C100 . I was thinking of taking it in to Canon over holidays just in case it becomes a serious issue in the future. I also see flicker during playback sometimes , very annoying.

Me too! The first job I did a few weeks ago, talking heads, I saw it in the viewfinder PLUS on playback in the LCD. I wrote down the TC to make sure. Freaked me out. Thought it may be a power surge issue to my lights or a lamp starting to go.

However, when I imported into FCPX IT IS NOT THERE. So now if I see the flicker I will not get worried.

Until I see the footage in Final CUT X without the flicker, I would always be worried. And if it happens on playback, and a client is reviewing it, I suspect the client may be concerned as well. "Trust me. It won't be in the footage." I hope I never have to have that conversation, especially if it, for some strange reason, DOES end up on the footage and the shoot is over and done with. Ouch.

I have seen the same thing with my C100. I assumed it might be an issue with shooting 25PF... But I've never seen it on the recorded footage. The same thing used to happen with my Sony FS700 and my FS100 before that - so assumed it was "normal" and I learned to ignore it. :-D
