Ladies and Gentlemen: Sci-Fest Videos Are Up!

So I"m a bit ashamed to say it-- but I didn't get a chance to watch too many of the Zombie-fest entries. And I'm just wondering what peoples' general impressions are so far. Are DVXers improving over time and taking it a notch-up from the Zombie-calibre? Or is it pretty consistent?

I know it's early to tell... but hey we gotta talk about something between downloads. :)
 
I saw a lot of the zombie films on the DVD's and I think these few that are online so far are for sure an improvement (overall) from the overall quality of films in zombiefest (though some of those films were amazing!)
 
Hey can we get some UNBIASED opinions maybe from people who's sci-flicks are NOT up yet! Nice pat on the back there Bricey!

I can honestly say, that of the people I recognize as having participated in Zombie Fest, the films I've seen so far have been an improvement, whether it be the whole package or camera/sound/story in particular, etc.

I know ours (since I teamed up with someone this time) didn't meet our original expectations, but it's a HECK of a lot better than the last film I did. To be fair, however, our expectations were $100MM shots and an insane production value, which is tough or next to impossible with what we were working with, so I think people will be at least pleased with the results/effort.

I just wish/hope there's a way I can DISCLAIMER it first, stating that in the RUSH of finally being able to upload/render, I think some Mickey-Mouse titles we were messing around with made it in vs. the professional/classic ones we intended ... not to mention a couple cuts that should have been fades didn't fade, etc.

Smaller stuff, hopefully, other than those nasty titles I think made it in. Oh well, there's always Sundance next year with the improved version. j/k
 
Good morning! I just woke up ! Great the movies are up ! Mine isn't yet, but that's ok. I hope people will enjoy mine.

It is, however, 4:28am EST. So it's about time to give up on more movies and hit the hay.

Thanks to the organizing powers that be for making the effort to get those few up tonight. That was very cool-- and I think succeeded in giving everyone that much needed taste. I look forward to seeing the rest in the coming days.

I dont remember how I got to bed lastnight or who turned my computer off. But I a, doing the same thing. Dl'd what was up, watched a couple, then had to hit the shower for work. Dang it! I dont think I can conjure up pneumonia to stay home another day. :D But I will be back in a few hours. The couple I watched were really fun to watch, btw!
 
I gave up last night at about 1 am EST. I was too sleepy and would not be able to enjoy the films anyway. But how pathetic is this - I dreamed about this site and the films all night.

I finally went ahead and got up around 7 am and watched the first five films. Very nice work gentlemen!
 
I... I... err... watched 2 of the 5 so far and I sure hope these were not the best :( Not trying to be an a-hole, just... Remember that thread in Clips forum a few months ago? Don't praise mediocrity unless you want to keep getting more of it.
Man, why do I have to be the first to say it...
 
Downloading them now- thanks for all the work that went into putting this together. Hopefully more will be up before I lose my internet connection (I'm in Gremany and using someones wifi - they should have secured it :) ) - I would love to be able to watch them all on my plane ride back to the states on Monday.
