I'm noticing that several of these films are over the 6 minute limit. Why is that? Are they still eligible for prizes?

For whatever reason, the running media player clock is showing 6:02 for my film, "The Gaussian Project"...this must be a mistake due to rendering. If you notice the ETC (Ending Title Crawl) ends at precisely 5:59:30. I know this because I was meticulous in getting it in under time.

I didn't notice this with the others, but if this is the case with them...
I would ask you to look at the time for the ending of the film itself. As for myself, I have 2.7 seconds of unexplained blackness at the tail end of mine.

Now let's go enjoy some Sci-Fi

Sometimes the running time of media gets changed in the compression process. It usually adds a secoind or two, but it's just all black frames. Maybe even a beer advertiesment or two, All films up for viewing I'm sure are eligable for prizes. I know you're not being time nazis. lol
 
I just watched "Danger below" and I think the .wmv clip has been damaged.
Actually I guess the maker didn't uploaded the right clip, there are some serious problems with the sound and some shots are missing. It doesn't even have an end, it just stopps in middle of the scene.
 
Jarred, I believe you uploaded my extended DVD version on accident! I hope that won't mess up the voting...
 
I know my project file was under by a few frames too and the final render kept going like 2-4 frames over. I think its somekind of render hiccup.
 
i didnt throw away entries like i did last time.. im basically pushing everything i got online. There where a few extended shorts, with credits going over the 6 minute mark that are cool.

There are clearly a few that break the rules, are animations etc, that will be disqualified but what the heck.. might as well watch em.
 
Cool Jarred... yeah, sounds good. Um... I was thinking that THe Encounter uses music from Danny Elfman... or is it my imagination? Anyway, that makes sense to just get everything up, then discuss which ones are actually in contention later.
 
Damn! I just got to work, and our stupid firewall software won't let me go to an IP address-only website! Does anyone see my short, "DISTRACTION," posted for download yet? Does it play in the right aspect ratio (widescreen)? If you have Windows Media Player 9, does it play correctly on your PC? (Windows Media Player 10 played my uploaded .MPG correctly, but version 9 didn't.) Thanks.
