I would like to buy sony 16-50 f2.8 , sony 28-75 2.8 , minolta 70-210 f4 . Is anyone has them and use them with LA-EA2 adapter ?
How autofocus manage after new firmware .Is it better than kit lens E 18-200 or the same ??
Is that true I can switch LA-EA2 to manual and go down f3.5 ?

I have 2 la-ea2's , a 16-50 2.8, and a 28-75 2.8 (sorry, no minolta) In manual you can go the whole range of the lens' (all the way down to 2.8 if you want)

Note: I haven't had much time to mess with the new firmware cause I was on a music vid shoot most of yesterday, but so far the AF with the A mount glass seems to work well, (and fast, accurate)
one thing I did notice with the AF is there are many focus points and I haven't had time to see if you can disable some of the points to make it focus where you want easier.

I'd have to agree with Jaun. Once it decides to focus on something, it's fast and doesn't wander looking for exact focus. boom , it's there.
I haven't had a chance to see how well it does with tracking. (even on my "cheaper" glass.)

Chris - Autofocus with the LA-EA2 is of great interest to me. Please keep us updated!

Thanks a lot all of you .So LA-EA2 seems to be great tool with alpha lens . I just miss one thing- stabilization in alpha lens . You can not get everything .
One more good thing with LA-Ea2 is protect sensor from the dust . So I can change lenses almost anywhere . I might be wrong . What do you thing about this ?
(sorry for my English)
