Knight and Day

Not that I know much about this movie. I've seen the trailer, I know it's Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, there was some action stuff in the trailer but I've no idea what the movie is about.

One thing's for sure though.
This poster is badass.

BTW, if you wonder where the people on the poster went (since they only left white holes)...

Isn't it funny how KILLERS and KNIGHT AND DAY seem to be sort of the same type of film, but the posters are almost the exact opposites in terms of style?

I was just about to say, and both films remind me of Mr. and Mrs. Smith...which kind of reminded me of True Lies. Feels pretty unoriginal. The only thing of note is that it was directed by James Mangold, who did Walk The Line, Identity, Cop Land. He's not without talent so who knows, the film may be good. I like that they're playing off the crazier, more manic side of Tom's star persona.

This is the trailer I saw. Gave me zero sense of what the plot of this film is.

Plot? Not sure.

She gets on a mostly empty plane with Tom, which she's not supposed to be on.
He kills everyone on the plane (some of whom seem to be armed, even the pilot) and then crash lands it. She's passed out so he drops her off at home in her bed.
She wakes up, gets a visit from some agents who work for who knows who but are obviously looking for Tom.

Tom comes to her rescue, or does he? She's driving down the highway as the agents next to her are dead. Did he kill them? Maybe.
Maybe they were out to kill her after questioning.

She ditches Tom to go talk to some guy who likes her but probably shouldn't. "Why are you touching my hand?" The guy getting married to April maybe? Probably.

Tom shows up and gives her the line about sticking together and then takes her out of there by force.
More agents, more shooting, they now seem to be working together but she's a fish out of water.

Giant 'SUMMER' tag at the end. Also on the poster.

That tells me all I need to know.

Either way, looks way better than Killers.

To sum up the plot...

A girl in the wrong place at the wrong time caught in the middle of some crazy shi* with a crazy secret agent of some kind.

They`ll probably save the world.

SUMMER

:)

Oh, boy. Now you're going to get it. :)

He expected a plot in the A-Team movie.

Nuff said. :D

Ha...I was on his side in that discussion. Funnily enough I thought the A-Team had TOO MUCH plot, too much meaningless nonsense that became impossible to follow, to the point I stopped caring towards the end.

Go on Tuesday or to a matinee. Much cheaper. :)
Probably less than a pack of smokes these days.

It doesn't work the same over here.

And anyway, I see better written plot, more interesting stories and more character development most times I've been to Weird Wednesday at the Alamo, than I do in most blockbusters these days.
That's sad.

Time to face the fact that there is a market for summer blockbusters that aren't heavy on plot.
Save your money for the good stuff, or that pack of smokes. ;)
