DownLoad For best quality,

This is just another Test short with the DVX100b and the SgPro Rev.3. Dvx is set on a custom Scene file at first, then changed to F6(f6 is so much easier if you ask me!) Hope you like it, I will have a new actual short(with a story!) out soon with the DVX and Sgpro, so Have fun and leave comments, they make me feel better when you do!

Cheers,
Jon

I like your footage a lot. The sgpro is so sweet. I am used to Smettli's videos and they are always dark and scary looking (which still looks great). Your footage is really vibrant, especially that yellow plow mobile in the snow.

This video actually makes me want to hustle more to make money to buy my sgpro sooner. Good JOB

Thanks Guys, GEt an SgPro! and no wayne isnt paying me, when you get one, you become a fanboy too tho!
"Warning, by purchasing this product, it may have side-effects of; Drooling, running camera batteries very low, and becoming an Sg fanboy"

thats ^^^ what should be on the side of this thing.

Jon are you just shooting handheld mostly in that Snow footage? If so how is the handling of the cam with the SG on it. are you just using the LCD?

Yes as of right now I have no field monitor, no FF, but I do have a nice tripod, but I just decided not to bring it up to the Ski resort that day, so yes, all is hand held, except for like two show in which i am resting the cam on one of my DJ speakers, I was using much longer lenses for hand held stuff than what
I am ust to, I was using 105mm and my 135mm, and my 20 in the few wide shots, and I think a 50mm for the Snow Cat shot, but other than that it was all shot with 100mm+ lenses. The camera is about a pound or two heavier than a stock DVX, but with that extra weight comes extra stability.

Some pics of the rig while I was shooting, that is my Nikkor 135mm 2.8 on it right there. I like the overall weight as of right now, but with a FF Matte vox and a Field monitor, i can see that getting heavy....

Jon

Thanks Matt, and yes I know in some of the shot(like the static one with the guy in yellow: you can se the gg, that is because I have yet to change the batteries in my sg, I have used it more than 50hrs, and that was at 1/1000th of a sec... so thats the reason, in other shot I use 1/48 and when it is snowing I am using 1/500th (with no grain) so 1/1000th is possible, you need new batt. I have swapped out new ones for 1/1000th shot before, but it was a mistake shooting the man in yellow, I just forgot to put it down to 1/500th

Cheers,

Jon

so basically you walked around like this all day.

You might get arrested for pointing that thing at passing aircraft.

I wish I was playing doom right now... Man that was a great game!

Footy looked sweet! Can't wait to see your short!

I really like the footage too. I've been steering clear of clips lately because I was convinced I didn't need any new gear. Oh, well... there goes my budget. Your SG is lookin' good (obviously).

Had to ask - did you CC any of the footage or tweak settings in camera? Just curious. Your blacks are nice and deep. Lots of contrast even with all that snow floating around.

I used MB wit the "color Reversal" from the look suite. the beginning of the film has a custom scene file settings, in which I cant remember, but about half way through I switch the cam to F6 and you can see that the skin tone is much less red, and the red is just not as saturated.
