"(Plymouth) – In light of recent allegations of domestic abuse involving Philip Bloom, Kessler Crane has decided to immediately end any and all business relationships with Mr. Bloom. It saddens us deeply to make this decision regarding a long-time partner, friend and community contributor but as an organization, Kessler Crane takes allegations of this nature very seriously and absolutely does not tolerate or condone abuse of any kind. Our hearts are with all victims on the road to recovery and our hope is that the accused will seek forgiveness and help.

As a result of the current circumstances, Kessler Crane is making a donation to the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, to aid them in their mission in working for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence – until the violence ends. We encourage all of those in the filmmaking community to find an avenue to support the end of domestic violence in their corner of the world and encourage anyone who may be dealing with abuse or knows of someone that is, to speak out and seek help."

EDIT: Here's the background on all this, in case you're in the dark: http://cinescopophilia.com/i-urge-y...-brave-decision-to-go-public-about-her-abuse/

ugh.... why can't people just be peaceful...

Well Mr. Bloom is innocent until proven guilty, but a company needs to avoid all bad press so it's standard procedure to drop endorsements based on accusations, even if they prove false. There is no upside in having someone endorse your product if they are accused of a crime. The accusation and subsequent trial will upstage your product, not what you want for advertisement.

Strange old world where a few social media posts can bring someone's livelihood crashing down (that is all I could find, via a google search, maybe i'm wrong?)

If he is guilty, then of course, he deserves his punishment... But you'd hope this sort of thing is being judged by the courts and not by social media

I don't know much about this..but this statement by Kessler seems a bit conflicted, unless accused=guilty:

"Our hearts are with all victims on the road to recovery and our hope is that the accused will seek forgiveness and help."

Maybe Kessler knows something more not in the press release. If I remember correctly some time ago reading Blooms posts that he and the Kessler family would go on vacation together. It seemed they were very close friends and I don't think Kessler did this lightly.

Perhaps.. One can speculate anything. But there's a difference between stepping back and stepping in it. I'm no lawyer..but that statement seems to over extend (slander/libel?)...even if the accusation eventually becomes a conviction.

Kessler and Bloom are very close. One has to assume that Kessler would have confronted Bloom before pulling sponsorship and writing support for the victims.

It has baffled me for years now why so many newbie camera guys worship this wedding/birthday-video guy. His opinions and reviews were all amateur fueled and his work extremely average. I guess if you are 25 and hope to start making wedding videos one day this guy looks like a genius with his website and slider shots. ?? I just don't get it.

Granted, everything is speculation at this point, subject to verification and/or the legal process, but I find it curious that Andrew Reed (another hothead to be sure) deleted this from his site, even though Google thankfully caches as follows:

(Does dvxuser.com not even facilitate lightbox-like enlarged viewing of uploaded photos? Basically, at the bottom it says, "I have also heard that Philip admitted as much to Eric Kessler.")

Well Dan Lennie another friend or business partner at one time of Philip Blooms, just retweeted a cryptic popehat quote: "John the so called Baptist was executed for his abuse of women".

Women who'd put their names out, and explained their side of story despite of expected backlash or any legal consequences. My personal opinion we will see a lot stories like the ones coming up in following weeks. We could have nnooo but noo idea, can't even imagine how much courage these women have. I don't believe these brave souls are after any financial benefits.
