It also shows Voigtlander 25mm and Olympus 45mm :

Honestly, I think it is cool that the GH2 is shooting bigger stuff now. However, what is up with all the shaking. It was very distracting. Was this not shot on a tripod? If not then why not? I would think that for a paid gig like this it would be spare no expense.

Agreed, though it almost looks like the shake was done in post, yet the particle emitter shouldn't have been tracked with it. It's the falling snow that follows the camera that's looking "off" to me.

Hey guys, I'm the dude who shot this and did the post.
We shot locked off and created a wobbling camera feel in post.
It was meant to feel a bit stylized and off kilter, same with the snow, like Justin was inside a snowglobe or something slightly not real.
If we didn't have to do the post at 35,000 feet, (on flight from LA to Toronto) and hand it in shortly thereafter, I would have been able to refine it a bit more.
But that's the reality of TV deadlines sometimes.

Hell yeah, sounds like the reality of real gigs to me!

Good stuff, man. And thanks for joining up to throw down some info before it got out of hand. It was obviously done in post to me, but I've worked in VFX for a long time, long enough to know what that looks like.

Share more when you can, and get it done.

Thanks for letting us know about how it was shot. Nice job.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys.

The lighting wasn't too complicated. A couple of kinos, 650w and 300w fresnels for rim, hair and eye/fill. Everything diffused, flagged. An overhead bounce board with a 650w fresnel aimed at it as the key. Light angle/placement is always crucial obviously. A few degrees here or there can change the whole feel.

Good Job, Looks great!

- The subtle shaking effect works, imho
It brings out the flakes/snow feel for me.
