Yeah man, that is not the stock battery. Don't EVER use that shop again. You are very, very, very lucky to have a working camera under warranty.

It's no surprise, however, that people continue to use these crooked stores when magazines continue to let them advertise in them. I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding the battery just for the hell of it. As others have said, the accessories you got are likely junk. I would be very careful about the filters in particular. I wouldn't put anything near the lens of your new camera that might not be kosher.

No one is trying to make you feel silly here, either. Enjoy your camera, don't put much stock in your extended warranty and have fun! Just stick with a reputable store from here forward and sleep a little easier as a result.
 
actually i do have that 5200mAH BP-950G bat that came w/ the cam. i was referring to extra batteries that they threw in to sweeten the deal. looks like this bat is longer than the ones they added to the deal.

best stores to deal with? b/c i need to purchase a fisheye lens, and a mic.
 
ok, i will check them out. i called about the 2 other bats they sent me, and they are sending me another 6hr to make me "happy"
 
sounds like rollinfove0w works for broadway... he seems just as fishy as broadway themselves.

if i'm wrong about that, then i'm truly sorry... but i don't want your good experience to make others buy from broadway only to get screwed over
 
I really don't think he works for them. Why would he ask what the best stores are? Even if it was a rep for Broadway, I'm sure he already knows what is reputable and what isn't.

Just saying, we all know how un-reputable Broadway is, I dont see why lots of great magazines let them advertise.. But hey, if it is true and all he is saying is totally legit, the heck good for him, but something just smells fishy... please take no offense.

wrk for broadway? are you cats kidding me, im not recommending them at all, everytime i call and they say they will send me something, it always turns out to be something different, they said they would send a 6hr bat and they send a 4hr, they said they will send HDV tapes, they send pana dv. ill still have boxes the equip came in, hit me up for legit pics

and pieces if you cats still believe i am affiliated with broadway. on top of this, what posts have i done where i tell someone to buy from them or give good recommendations for them??
 
Stick around man - people didn't mean any disrespect. They just were a little wary with all the spambots around and new users joining to promote garbage stores.

I would try to cut the man some slack..He bought from a company with a bad rep. He was lucky this time, got a good camera at a good price. Bravo. Maybe next time though, just check out the stores reputation more.
 
Good for you rollin, Sorry we hassled yah, the A1 is a great cam, and for what we do, the possibilities are endless, You have the Scene mode (you can do the same thing) of the DVX, with a lot more resolution, Have fun!
