You have no idea how much it bothers me when someone says this. As I have perfect hearing yes there is more sound which can be heard and more specifically felt. Read that link and dig some more and you will see your statement is simply not correct.

Now will most people tell the difference or care, probably not but the same could be said for video and resolutions past a certain point.

Trust me, there is a difference

ok granted, if your right to a degree, if i pass the audio at 16khz, with a eq brickwall, it would no longer be there right? thats what i was saying..mainly...

The beachtek is a passive adapter. you are still using the camera's preamps. Bad quality.

correct the dxa-5d is passive but the new beachtek dxa-slr is phantom powered, with clean pre-amp....

so my question is if i use that and then eq out that high frequency?

Wow, the original post scared me. You said your camera was broken and then described the same sound my 7D makes with the 28-135 USM IS.

But when I heard it, I realized it was the ultra sonic motor for the lens stabilizer. It goes away when you shut off IS. I don't think it's a problem with the camera. Does your new camera still make the noise when you use a lens with IS?
