I know someone mentioned a JL and the GH1 works well but has anyone else tried it and/or have any vids to demo this?

hah, thanks, i just left you a response on your original post of that vid. I was wondering if you had any incite on how well the Juicedlink works without the D50.

The D50 is excellent in use and sound quality. It does not get much better than this. Noiseless and has an excellent limiter. The only drawback is the lack of XLR inputs and phantom power.
This is why I have the JL.
You could skip the JL if you have a self powered mic like the AT897 and connect it to the D50. It would be just as good soundwise. But when using two mics you must have some sort of mixer.
You could skip the D50 and only use the JL but if you listen at the clip you can clearly hear the ugly gain of the AGC in the GH1. If you have a camera with adjustable audio level without AGC the JL works just fine as long as you have a way to monitor the sound.

Got it. Thanks so much for the input editman! To cut costs i would actually use my hv30 with my JL and Rode NTG2 as my audio setup/B camera. Then just use the GH1 as the A camera. But I really wanted to have just a one recording unit, as I'm sure so many others do.
Buy the GH1 only to find out that the GH2 that's announced in Feb. has control over the gain? Or wait for the GH2 to find out it has a headphone jack, hdmi out, and an audio monitor but still AGC? Oh decisions...
