Iscorama Anamophic Lens Test

Guys i have this software and i can record video of the whole sensor(not cropped) when my 550D is in video mode, but my framerate is not really good ,this would be very useful with x2 anamorphic lenses ,can someone give this a shot ?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/eos-movrec/files/

Turn off display on computer to record with higher fps.Highest ones were 22fps ,maybe someone would get full 24p and whole sensor recorded ,witout 16:9 crop, this would look nicer with anamorphic lenses.

I mentioned this a couple of times but there were no comments ,kinda weird, i have my 550D in video mode i set framerate on camera to 24p and it sends 24p to this program ,i can change ISO manually with my cam,i have picture visible on my cam and in this software in the same time ,so it might be useful fo multiple monitoring aswell ,camera is not turning off liveview when in video mode, usually camera turns off if you want to have monitoring through USB but with this software camera stays normal.

bwwd,

I can only get usable fps for a few seconds, then it rapidly slows down. Moving the camera/image also seems to decrease fps performance. I can't get any usable results from this so far.

i have similar results ,but there was someone who recorded with other camera 26 fps ,turnoff view on computer when recording

Hi HHL and friends, I am mulling over a piece of anamorphic glass. It is the Iscomorphot 8mm/2x. I am wondering if anyone has experience in this glass. I know that there has been much talk about the Iscomorphot 16mm/2x and the Iscomorphot 8mm/1.5x but certainly not this. I am wondering if focusing distance is fixed for this.

Any experience to share? Many thanks!

Good grief, not checked out the world of Iscoramas lately but I see they are now going for upwards of £2,999 on ebay! (that's $4,880!!!).

When I bought mine at £560 everyone on this thread at the time thought I was insane !!.

:cheesy::cheesy:

MuuhahahahaHAHAHahahahHAHahahAhh. :2vrolijk_08:

Hi, everybody!
Has anyone tried to use the leica elmarit 60 mm macro with the iscorama 50 mm, not the iscorama 36!, the one with the 50 mm spherical part? Does it vignette with the 5d mk II?
Finally which lens work well for the iscorama 50 without vignetting with the 5d mk II?
the nikon AF 50 1,8? the helios 44 2? Am I right?
thanks.

You should be ok from 50mm or longer. The Helios and Nikon are tested choices on the 5dmkII.
Interestingly I have found that the Iscorama fits like a glove (without any adapter or ring or spacer) in the Meyer Primoplan 58mm f1.9 lens.
Not a very common lens, but surely interesting since it is preset, with many aperture blades, soft and funky bokeh wide open with a lot of flare, tack sharp when stopped down...

hey guys, lol this thread still alive? anyway here's my updates on iscorama rigging.
I have made custom lens rail support/adaptor for both of my iscorama 42 MC and iscorama 36.
Regreased the focus, now it's super light and easy for my FF, + plus modded the 42MC (simple unscrew) for racking focus at 1.1m to infinty.

with the Zacuto EVF
Finally I think this rig is ready for handheld shooting.
