Iscorama Anamophic Lens Test

I'm just not used to check dvxuser in a daily basis. I could just read now your pm sent last friday August 14.

The seller's partner is back from vacations but only last monday August 17.

These are the news...

Good news:
1. It is an adapter, not the 50mm model. So, you can use whatever focal length you want.
2. They only have half-dozen units available, there is stock. New. Never used. Factory sealed.

Now the bad news:
The price the first seller's parther (now in vacations) had informed me is not accurate. It is for the optical block, spare part. He's going to give me the final price because they did a change in the computers, they don't have the price in system. Just for the spare part. Therefore, his confusion. Don't ask me more information because I'm still waiting as same as you. Hope today or tomorrow.

By the way, it is a she, not a he.

is it the non-focusing one (widescreen 2000) or focasable (isco 36 etc)? And what size front and rear threads?

Cool. Good to hear from you CBS, regardless of gender! ;-)
Awesome, so I'm down for one (considering the price is reasonable).
And Squig just typed the same ?'s I had...

No information, no idea. Nada. Just it is the Iscorama anamorphic adapter for 35mm still photography. Obviously, it can be attached to the 5D. It can be expensive. They have no idea of this new demand. They know the price of 5D though. But just speculating.

Half a dozen? :( What are my chances? (or anyone else's for that matter) I'll bet that there are 40-50 people who would go for one right now. How do we resolve this, OH MASTER CBS???!!! (OK...a little mellow dramatic)

Thank you for the follow up CBS.
I remain interested, pending confirmation of condition, specifications, and price.

I say a butt naked fight to the death.

Octopi_films: That was spoken like a TRUE "Utah'n".
Lee: That sounds like fun, ...but only if your name is "Leigh", you're a woman, and REALLY hot one at that.

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

(The pain of a modern artist.)

OK Lee..., Octopi... let's get together later. Gotta take one for the team!!! ;)

Octopi: :) I live in Tremonton, UT...so you know I'm playing. But I might have to rent your lens some time. (If I can't score one.)

Any new news on this thread? What's the verdict for best lens combination? I'm saving pennies for a Nikon d700x, and am very interested in testing some anamorphics on it.

Guys,

I had three ISCORAMA lenses, now down to two (ozan got one some weeks ago), a working ISCORAMA 50mm w. Nikon mount and a later multicoated f1.8 MINT in box ISCORAMA 2001 are left. Further I have an ISCORAMA 54 adaptor (72mm thread mount, 1.5x works up to 28mm wide angle).

email me (postmaster AT macrolenses.de) if you need one.

Cheers, Klaus

feeding frenzy!

The isco 54 will vignette like a fisheye on a full frame camera wider than 50mm. On a 1.5x crop camera it's ok to 28mm.

OK, guys. There is stock. I already know the price. However, once there is a new comer on the same way, I will let him go first. I don't want anyone may have prejudice of the deal I got. Unless, the seller will push me to finish.

The adapters are reserved to me. I will inform one by one following the order of the arrival.
No ebay here, no used lenses. New stock, factory sealed (I forgot to ask but I think there's manufacturer's EU warranty). Stock price. Six units.

I have been even more flooded with inquiries and I will try to find the most fair solution for that, since the demand seems to be so much higher than the supply!

Most likely I will set it up as ebay auction(s) and send the info to all interested parties.

I have a few friends who have (at least had) such lenses and I will try and locate a few more to also list them for you...

I'll be away this weekend, so be patient until about Monday/Tuesday. I will keep you in the loop about that and will not sell or reserve etc. anything for or to anyone before. As I said, I want it done in a fair way!!

edit
this is becoming hot.. this is "the" revolution!!

I'm definitely interested in a nikon mount Iscorama lens.
I just love the look of these lenses, I currently have borrowed a Centascope MK3 but this does not cover 35 mm.
Here's a shot of the Centascope handheld in front of a d700 with a 50 1.4 AFD

Please contact me if anyone has a Iscorama lens for sale.
It can also be a mount on version as I have a 50 mm to put it on.
This is indeed a revolution , 35 mm anamorphic super flares.
