ISCORAMA 50mm f2.8 Lens Test

Hey Guys,

Just got my new ISCORAMA 50mm f2.8 lens in the mail and went right out and shot a test with my lovely girlfriend Diana and my 7D.



The same description is on the vimeo page:

All the flares are done in camera either from the actual headlights of cars etc. or with a LED flashlight off or on camera.

No color correction and de-squeeze accomplished in FCP with no plug-ins etc. Very simple workflow.

I have a set of 3 diopters coming soon which I want to test out during the day and figure out the focus scale of the lens.

Here is my focus/diopter test. These are pretty tricky lenses focus wise to work with.

Congrats with your find ...I was somewhere in the jungle when the first post was made about these lenses a few months ago and last week I found about them through your tests.

This lens is the last peace to the pussle the most filmic aesthetic indeed on the 7d.
And Im not even talking about the lensflare ! Is that even proper english :)

How much did pay for this lens ? ...an estimate perhaps.
 
i was going to say, stop the damn lens flare abuse. enough already. but damn does it look cinematic. wish i had one.
 
Hey, I won't say exactly how much I paid but the Nikon F Mount version of these lenses are more expensive than the ISCO 36/42/52 :/ Worth it for me though, this is an amazing lens.

The flares are honestly half of the reason I bought the lens. I'm still excited about them, so expect to see lots of them in anything I shoot with this lens. :)
