Is this the first EF to PL mount adapter?

Zunow used to have a PL adapter for 7D, and I was told maybe they will show something for C300 at NAB....just a couple of days and we will know.
The one you linked, it seems you have to take away the connector for EF electronic for it to fit. Not a good solution.
 
There are many PL lens to EF body adapters out already. Problem is, they don't work for prime lenses, and never will be able to. The throat is too narrow, PL primes literally cannot fit in it. Some PL zooms will be able to, but you'll never get master primes or Cooke s4's or compact primes or many (any?) other PL primes to fit.

So you are saying some pl lensses will work but many will not.?

The c300 is a pretty decent camera, I'm shooting with one this week and there is a lot to like about it even in its present under featured state, which is to say no 10 bit out the SDI, no over crank in 1080.

The biggest stumbling block however is how Canon effed up on the lens mount in my estimation. The one thing I have enjoyed with other single chip cameras is the ability to adapt lots of different lenses rather easily whether they are still photo or cine lenses. To have this option taken away by what I see as the bone head lens mount situation with the C300 is rather unfortunate.
 
Red primes will fit, but you have to install new PL mounts. I had this done to a set back in the early 7D days. I have not tested on the C300, but it should fit no problem.

My understanding is that the EF flange is longer than the PL flange. Does that mean its possible to make an adapter to put EF lenses onto a PL mount Camera?
Because if you could then the PL version of the C300 could do double duty, no?
