Is there no Canon Prime Lens with IS??

Hi Guys,

I'm using a 17-55 2.8 IS Canon Lens. I'm very happy with this Lens if there is enough light.

I need a Lens for Dark Situations. What would you suggest. If there is IS would be nice.

I've shot and pulled focus pretty well with the sigma 30mm f1.4 so I don't see the problem. Its actually easier to do with a more open aperture.

Interesting question. Doesn't look like you get IS on any primes until you get to 200mm tele.

The problem is your focal length. Use a 30mm or less and you will drastically reduce all of those jitters. Also as suggested invest in the Sigma 30mm 1.4 as it is an excellent lens which does not require as much stabilization as any 50mm lens. Basically any lens 50mm and more is very hard to keep stable when doing hand held work, this is another reason why wide lenses are truly needed....
